As I said the service was good as were the prices. I just didn't expect an establishment called "A Taste of England" to be large florescent-tube lit shed, serving burger and chips for 4 quid a go.

Everyone had a good time and if it wasn't for the location I think we'd all go back.

Didn't really "float my boat" but was OK !   They must be doing something right though cos they have been there for ages.

As said before the new owners have only been there a short while and have spent a considerable amount of money to re vamp the place and change the image.
It is a much better place to go for a drink than many of the "local" establishments in Thatcham, if you want a good pint and none of the rather usual watering holes full of D*** H***s who frequent the regular places.

I believe this years festival is on the 11th although seen i've seen nothing official.  Also am I right in hearing that there is another Ale festival this coming weekend at Lower Henwick Farm?

I think the one at Lower Henwick Farm is the one on 9th April. That's not far to wait now.

A pound? I think you might need to re-read the post.

I said burger and chips for 4 quid a go.
