Newbury Tescos were the first local petrol station to raise their prices to £1.15p per litre yesterday (15th March)

(Not quite £1.15 but are we going to quible over .01p)

The others are expected to follow later today (If they haven't done so already)

There is an additional 3p tax rise due on April 1st which will probably mean a price of £1.20 per litre before Easter.

It's Tesco or Tescos, not Tesco's.

I don't, oh partially educated one.

It is the correct use of English that dictates it.  No more no less. The Apostrophe of Omission ( or Contraction) is used wherever one or several letters are omitted. The Possessive Apostrophe however, is, as I'm sure you know, another thing altogether.....

User23.3 (albeit mischievous) is correct.

Most websites have a word filter to replace the words more commonly found in Roger's Profanisaurus.

I am disgusted

If I wanted to read the word 'sheep' I would have subscribed to Farmer's Weekly

Am I missing something? The original poster did not use an apostrophe in the post.
