Headlining are rock phenomenon The Crave. Having already toured with some of the world’s greatest bands, such as Foo Fighters, Deep Purple, Status Quo and many more, played the UK’s biggest festivals such as Download and Sonisphere, and chosen by Harley Davidson and Gibson guitars to play their exclusive Night of Custom, The Crave are been tipped by the music industry to be the next giants of rock!

Our 2nd headlining act are the staggeringly brilliant Tin Soldiers. Their new single '24 Hours' is currently play listed on Kerrang and Scuzz TV. With top reviews on their new album 'Telling Tales', a full page feature in Guitarist magazine and the same producer as Muse and Metallica, this band are heading to the top fast!

With Newbury’s very young rockers, the BBC featured 2010 BOTB Under 18’s winners The Jammin’ Dodgers, and Indie rock sensation The Great Statesmen to complete the evening’s lineup, this is without doubt Newbury’s biggest music event of the year!

And what brings these bands from all over England together?
They all give their time to teach at Newbury Rock School, inspiring and helping inspire our local children.

The Crave have just announced a special 'gold' pre release version of their much anticipated new album is to be made available at this concert on September 11th.
Only 300 signed and numbered copies are been made. The full release version won't be out until October, so this is a unique opportunity to not only get the album early, but have a collectable version too and for only £8!

I think you'll find that teaching the Jammin' Dodgers takes up all his time.

I'm sure you're not Nobby, but in case you really are interested

My interests include running Lets Play Rock Ltd and Newbury Rock School. http://www.letsplayrock.com
And as Threep rightly says, I teach and manage The Jammin Dodgers, which is a fine hobby.
I also help run the Thatcham Youth Community Programme with the local council, as well as put on and run events such as this one, and supply bands and equipment for free to local events.
That's lot keeps me amused for most of the time, as well as the odd live performance with my son.
And I like cars.

Newbury Sound have just done a fine feature on our rock school here. Which is after all what this event is about.

A review of The Crave here if you want to have an idea of what they are like live:-

And don't forget to get your ticket for Saturday, hope to see you there. It really will be the best live music night for years at the Corn Exchange.
Cheers,

Leo

Love to see these young uns getting to grips with guitars that are almost as big as them..It's the age to learn and to hear them playing 'proper' music, even from my era is fantastic.. whoever you are, please keep these kids interested.. it's bloody wonderfull...and who knows you may discover another 'JIMI'!!!

Hi,

We are putting on another night of rock at the Corn Exchange on Saturday June 18th 2011
Here's a link. I will put more info here shortly.
http://www.cornexchangenew.com/events/event_detail/Newburys_Biggest_Night_of_Rock_2011/

I think we have discovered the possible next rock guitar star. Check out little Harry, aged 7. He will be featured on Meridian Tonight TV, next week.

He will also be playing at our night of rock.
