I've played with BackTrack plenty of times but that is more for pen testing, than IDS. Have always setup edge security manually myself.
I've recently discovered CloudFlare which both reverse proxy and IDS websites against known threats. Which after they're refusal to suspend or dox the Lulzsec guys using their service. Convinces me the company has the right philosophy to trust with my websites nobody cares about.

Some of the more forward looking countries in mainland Europe and indeed most of the United States, now no longer recognise ADHD. They have stopped using drugs such as Ritalin, and now treat it as 'Bad Parenting' Gosh, think about it, parents being responsible for their childrens behaviour. No more dosing children up with addictive stimulants. Whatever next?
As for the million pound ponzi?, well, some of us did try to warn people, but you know what greed does. So convinced were they that they were all going to become incredibly rich they even got poor old admin to hid the thread for a while. (in case it jepodized their pay-outs). Let's hope they weren't holding their breath.
