Walked past the hairdressers in the Kennet yesterday.  All the shelves were bare and floor area cleared.  Has it closed down?

I wonder how making it luxurious also makes it better value for money.

I understand your point, but it doesn't say that.  The comma represents an 'and', not a 'thus'.

Seems to be a bit of a mixed up approach to marketing, trying to appeal to both the bottom and high end of the market.

I agree, but it is just a load of attractive words strung into a sentence.

Indeed.

I like strawberries, cream, fish and chips. I wouldn't have them all on the same plate though.

Roderick Antony has worked his business up by hard work, clever marketing and an eye for a proper salon, from a little shop on Blackboys bridge to a household name in the KC.
There are still a lot of women around who have the finances available to allow them to go somewhere pricy and that brings in the word exclusive. That in Newbury is Roderick Antony.

Cheap haircuts, I don't think so

I drink in the KC sometimes and I've never heard it mentioned.

That's probably because you are waiting for somone to mention West Berks Council so that you can either defend or throw a wobbler into the conversation, however the KC drinkers are all more than likely in the cheap haircut brigade.

The salon in the Kennet Centre is not his only outlet by the way. He owns and operates "Cutting Bar" which are all over the place. Newbury (Bart St opposite Craven Road), at the moment, a couple of the RA stylists are temping in there till the new salon opens, Didcot in the Orchard Centre, Alton (http://www.wahanda.com/place/the-cutting-bar-alton/) , Abingdon, Andover, Thatcham and so on. One of the best walk in hairdressing shops around and very inexpensive.
Newbury, have really friendly and excellent hairdressers for men, women and kids. (Free Brian Newman car freshener,    )

PS, I don't have any connection with the person.
