Newbury's new seven screen multiplex has opened to capacity audiences. Over 1,000 people attended on Friday evening (13th November), bringing a much needed boost to the town's evening economy.
The cinema has the latest 3D projection system installed in 2 of the screens and the VIP's invited to a special screening on Thursday evening were enthralled by Disney's "A Christmas Carol" with the voice of Jim Carrey as Scrooge.
Kennet Centre shops and restaurants enjoyed a boost to their Saturday's trade, also motorists breathed a sigh of relief with the reopening of Cheap Street and Market Street to two way traffic.

So, is it the Kennet Centre again, or Kennet Shopping? The Vue banner seems to think it's the KC, the sign to the right says it's KS.
FF?

"The KC" generally means the King Charles, to those who socialise in Newbury.

I still call it the Kennet Centre too, but I remember in the past Factfile being very specific in calling it Kennet Shopping, even correcting people when they referred to it as the Kennet Centre. It would seem that either no-one told Vue this, or Vue thought it sounded wierd saying, "The new Vue cinema, now open in Kennet Shopping". ;)

But we are talking about the Kennet Centre or Kennet Shopping and not initials, i have only used the initials to shorten my reply.

They've hedged their bets on the Newbury Sound advert today, calling it "The Kennet Shopping Centre". Does that resolve the problem.

http://www.westberks.gov.uk/Interesting pic on the homepage of "West Berkshire's cinema"...if that's the case, what's the screen in the WBC-funded Corn Exchange for?
