A plane carrying Prince Charles and a Heathrow passenger jet came within a whisker of smashing into each other over the skies of Newbury.
The near miss happened on March 24, as the Prince was being flown to Madrid from RAF Northolt, London, for the service following Spain’s Al-Qaeda attacks.
The Prince's HS146 came within 900 feet of an Airbus A321 carrying 186 passengers to Heathrow from the Irish city of Cork.
Air traffic control said the situation, at 8.30am at 11,500 ft above Newbury was not dangerous, but warned both pilots that one plane was just the same length as Northbrook Street beneath the other.
