| Benyon remarries
The man after David Rendel’s job as Newbury MP has remarried. Conservative candidate Richard Benyon married Zoe Robinson at St Peter’s Church in Ousden Suffolk in glorious weather on Saturday.
The couple will live at Mr Benyon’s house in Beenham, where the new Mrs Benyon will support Richard in his push to end Mr Rendel’s 10-year stint as parliamentary representative.
Babies for benefits
More than half of people in the South East think teenage girls get pregnant so they can get a council house, and that 40 per cent have children to collect benefits, a new poll reports. Britain has the highest teen pregnancy rate in the EU, but this has fallen by almost 10 per cent in the last decade.
