West Berkshire Awards
12th January 2005 15.29pm

West Berkshire Lifelong Learning Partnership is again hosting The West Berkshire Learner Achievement Awards and is calling for entries.

Designed to recognise the achievements made by individuals and companies through their commitment to learning, these prestigious awards celebrate achievement and encourage others to participate in learning.

Do you know someone who has benefited from learning or helped others benefit? A colleague, teacher, lecturer or manager? Maybe they’ve overcome personal obstacles or had to balance working with learning? If they have achieved success or satisfaction through their commitment and determination to learning, we want to know about them, we want to reward them.

We’re also looking to recognise organisations, voluntary or profit making businesses actively investing in and promoting learning within their organisation. Maybe you work for one or manage one, maybe you’re a customer, either way, those companies that take the time and effort to help their staff improve their abilities or prospects, deserve recognition.

Awards are divided into the following areas and a number of awards will be made in each of these:

Individual, Family & Group Award

Teacher, Tutor & Volunteer Tutor Award

Organisation Award

Entry is free and easy. You have until March 31st 2005 to submit your nominations. There are cash prizes and certificates on offer and we’ll be holding an awards ceremony in May where winners and guests can celebrate their success together.

Don’t miss out, nominate your company, your tutor, your client, your Mum, anyone who you think proves the benefits of learning.

Who can enter?

Entry to the individual categories is open to any adult learner over 18 years old on 31st March 2005 or any adult who is not a current learner but who has been a student or self-directed learner at some point since March 31st 2003.

The Family & Group Learner Award is open to any intergenerational group of learners who may be learning as part of a larger group or on their own.

The Organisation Award is open to voluntary or profit making businesses actively investing and promoting learning within their organisations in West Berkshire.

Just ring 01635 279908 for an entry form.
