Sports Wall at Wash Common
22nd February 2005 07.25am

After a long period of discussion, Newbury Town Council has installed a sports wall on Blossoms Field at Wash Common, plus opened up the path that runs through the wood, between Blossom’s Field and the Recreation Ground.

Initial feedback has been positive with the sports wall well used. It is particularly aimed at those who have outgrown the children’s playground on the recreation ground, but caters for all ages.

Chairperson of Newbury Town Council Community Services Committee, Councillor Peter Greenhalgh said “It was good to get it installed in time for half term. Newbury Town Council is also working on other playgrounds in the town and looks forward to making more announcements shortly.”.
