| Police are appealing for information following a collision on the A339 Newbury to Basingstoke road last night in which a 34-year-old man died.
At around 10pm the man was travelling in a blue Ford Focus towards Basingstoke near to the Swan roundabout when the car lost control and left the road, colliding with a tree.
The man, who has yet to be formally identified, was pronounced dead at the scene of the collision.
PC Sarah Flavin, of Chieveley Roads Policing, said: “This serious collision tragically took the life of the driver of the Ford Focus and we urgently require any information that anyone may have that could help us with our investigation.
