| The search for the Thames Valley Police officer of the year appears to have bypassed Newbury. None of the town’s 30-odd strong team has been put forward for the publicly nominated award.
So far, 10 officers have been nominated from the Reading, Wokingham and West Berkshire area, with only PC Colin Waters from Thatcham holding up for the thin blue line this side of Reading.
