Queens Award for Newbury Volunteer Centre
19th July 2005 13.57pm

Tonight 31 Year old Newbury Charity - Volunteer Centre West Berkshire will receive the Queens Award for Voluntary Service at a special ceremony at Newbury Town Hall. The Lord Lieutenant For Berkshire will present this prestigious award at 7.30.

The award is the only one going to a Berkshire charity this year and is one of only 92 in the UK.

The Awards were started as part of the Queens Golden Jubilee in 2002.

The Director of the Volunteer Centre Garry Poulson is delighted for the whole charity and everyone that has been associated with the Charity since it was formed in 1974.
