Blacket Turner & Co Ltd, the parent company of the Newbury Weekly News has applied for planning permission to erect facilities for a webcam at 24 Market Place (offices of Gardner Leader). The site is already being used by the town’s CCTV system and it is understood that the new facility will be added to the existing bracket.

Newbury.net has been fully aware of the demand for webcams in Newbury, from all of the comments received on our popular forum. We are currently negotiating for 3 locations in town, but obviously we have been “pipped at the post” by the NWN.
