| One of the big names planned to help department store Camp Hopson reinvent itself are understood to have pulled the plug on their Newbury store – newbury.net can reveal.
Ottakars had signed up for one of the two new shops created in the £6m redesign of Newbury’s flagship store. But the book industry has been badly hit by heavy bestseller discounting in supermarkets, and Ottakars said it would now be merging with Waterstone’s, which has larger premises further down Northbrook Street. |
