Traffic consultants WSP have been appointed to come up with a solution for the Bear Lane/Wharf roundabout, which is due for a sharp increase in rush-hour traffic when the Market Place is pedestrianised next Spring. The consultants will be working from the Atkins study – a report by another firm of consultants hired last year – but no date has been set for publication of the findings.
