| Highclere Castle is to host another showbiz wedding. Girls Aloud singer Cheryl Tweedy and Arsenal footballer Ashley Cole are expected to tie the knot in July in a ceremony at Lord Carnarvon’s home.
It’s the third celebrity wedding in as many years, after Arsenal teammate Thierry Henry married actress Nicole Merry, and glamourgirl Jordan with singer Peter Andre.
Sources behind the event have been sworn to secrecy, but newbury.net has learnt that preparations are in full swing for a July wedding, just after England fullback Cole gets back from the World Cup.
Mr Cole, 24, proposed to Miss Tweedy, 22, in the summer on holiday in Dubai, and they are fast becoming the most sought after celebrity couple in Britain. But Highclere’s security and experience of keeping the paparazzi at bay should mean the couple will keep control of pictures and magazine rights.
Bookies have the couple as 2-1 favourites to be the first celebrity couple to marry in 2006, closely followed by Prince Harry and Chelsy Davy. |
