| Hard ground caused by frost and subzero temperatures in Newbury yesterday has forced the racecourse to scrap two days of racing.
Clerk of the course Richard Osgood said yesterday (28th Dec) that the turf remained solid at noon yesterday, and made a decision to cancel today’s meet as well.
This means that the Challow Stakes, due to run today (Dec 29th), will be transferred to Cheltenham to go on Sunday. |
