Tesco gives customers the hump
06th February 2006 10.52am

Tescos Extra at the Pinchington Lane retail park are receiving numerous complaints about a newly installed speed ramp at the entrance to their car park. The ramp is a replacement for the old ramp which is worn out.

On Saturday Customer Services at Tescos had received over 300 written complaints about the ramp. This is in addition to telephone complaints to their Head Office. The Manager was not available for comment but a spokesperson said that their Contractors had advised them that this was the only type of Speed Ramp available and was similar to the ones installed in other Tesco Stores where no complaints had been received.

When our reporter visited the Store on Saturday the majority of motorists were swerving into the nearby layby to avoid crossing the newly installed ramp
