Comedy festival to put Newbury on map

Newbury’s profile will be raised during this summer’s comedy festival. The Corn Exchange has hired a national PR agency to create a bigger draw for the 50 events, with the aim of encouraging audiences into town to stay overnight. Tickets go on sale April 27, for events running July 8-15.

American comedy legend Emo will be making an appearance, exclusive to Newbury Comedy Festival 2006. Performing Thursday 13 - Saturday 15 July 7.30pm at The Corn Exchange These will be his only UK dates in 2006.
