| Newbury police were called to an incident in the London Road this morning after a car collided with a swan. The accident occurred just before 8.00am and early morning commuters were surprised by the spectacle of several police officers holding the swan down on the pavement under a blanket.
Rumours of a problem with Avian Flu were quickly dismissed, and newbury.net have been advised that the swan has been taken off to a local veterinary clinic for treatment. |
