| Vision chiefs are pushing ahead with a bigger better ice rink for this Christmas despite not breaking even with a similar event last year.
The five day ice rink installation in the Market Place will cost taxpayers more than £10,000 after failing to attract enough visitors to pay its way, and could go higher because not all of the promised sponsorship money has been received.
This year, organisers are in touch with the ice rink company of former figure skater Robin Cousins about a much more lavish rink made with real ice. |
