| The first ever Newbury Wine Festival, is to be held at The Corn Exchange on October 13th and 14th 2007.
The aim of the Newbury Wine Festival is to bring wine lovers and small independent Wine Merchants together for the first time so that the amazing quality of small wine producers can be discovered by an increasingly knowledge thirsty audience!
The festival will be offering for the first Newbury Wine Festival, over 100 wines from around the world for people to taste. Additionally the Independent Wine Merchants will be supported by a number of small local food enterprises such as exceptional quality cheese suppliers and specialist event catering companies all of whom will be offering tasty samples to compliment the wines.
Mae-Lynne Hart from The Newbury Wine Festival said:
“There is so much wonderful wine from producers making with a passion, whilst still offering great value for money. It is our aim to bring these to the public. Supermarket shelves are inevitably stocked with massive Brand names and there is little room here for the tiny producers of world class, handcrafted wines. This is where we fit in.
The wine industry can also be a scary place for all but the most experienced wine buyer. The Newbury Wine Festival will ensure that everyone who loves wine is welcome”
